The ASM's intuitive set up and flexible orientation offers the wheelchair manufacturer additional options in their chair design when considering how to maintain the chair's stability.

The R-net ASM uses accelerometer technology to help maintain the turning stability of wheelchairs, in particular fast front wheel drive models. In the event that the wheelchair does approach an unstable situation the ASM will control the wheelchair turning speed whilst the joystick deflected. It is recommended that for fast front wheel drive chairs both an ASM is fitted and the Enhanced Front Wheel Drive (eFWD) software algorithm is employed.
